Past is past. This is definitely one of the most-used statements of our lives. It is true that we should leave every dark memory behind. But we can never move on to the future if we won’t look back on our past as a guide on how we live our present life. So basically, it means that everything in the past is past but it’s still there. You can’t deny the fact that it will never be erased from your long list of experiences.
The positive side of having bad memories is how we learn from it and mature as a person. The best thing that will ever happen to a person during his or her dark moments is how he or she manages to recover and go on with a brighter life. These attitudes are based on how we handle ourselves and the situation itself.
In times of deep sorrow, or when we are at what we call the “lowest point of our lives”, we should always remember that it could not go on like that forever. Life is a journey – a path. How can we be able to move on completely if a part of us is stuck in what we should already consider as past? How can we step forward on our life’s path and reach the highest point if we just stay put at one place?
The existence of “emo” people is best explained through their inability to move on with their lives. They find it so hard to leave all sorts of negative experiences behind. They get stuck in the darkest part of their lives and have the tendency to do all things “emo”. By this, I mean everything that are obviously done by most emo people nowadays. I won’t dig much into that.
All of us have the possibility to be an emo. At some point in our lives, there are times when it becomes so difficult to get over a particular negative experience. Yes, it is not that easy to move on. But we should. No matter what. Even if we get into an “emo mode” every once in a while, let us not forget that life does not end there. The path will never take us to a dead end. Even if it is sometimes not literally true, believe that there’s always a rainbow after the rain.
Getting over the negative and moving on = a positive new beginning.
And a new beginning gets even sweeter when you start it with a bite of Red Ribbon’s Chocolate Heaven!
