During the darkness, let us think of everything that's happening around us. Are we doing any good to Mother Nature? Let's do our part even in this simple way of switching off the lights.
Let's do this for Mother Earth. Let's do this for ourselves.
It's only a few hours to go before the worldwide Earth Hour. At 8:30 PM, everyone is encouraged to switch off all sources of light and other electrical appliances. This will last for an hour. During the darkness, let us think of everything that's happening around us. Are we doing any good to Mother Nature? Let's do our part even in this simple way of switching off the lights. Let's do this for Mother Earth. Let's do this for ourselves.

Kung gusto mong matawa, panoorin mo ito. Tiyak matatanggal ang pagod mo. Paano kaya kung ganito talaga ang mga hayop? Nakakatuwa. Are you a dog lover? Then this entry is for you. I have here two different videos. This first one is taken from a live coverage of the recent magnitude 8.9 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. It shows a dirty, wet, and shaking dog that never leaves the side of his canine friend. See what happens. Here is an English translation of the voice-over exchange between the two reporters in the clip (translation courtesy of Toshiyuki Kitamura): We are in Arahama area. Looks like there is a dog. There is a dog. He looks tired and dirty. He must have been caught in the tsunami. He looks very dirty. He has a collar. He must be someone's pet. He has a silver collar. He is shaking. He seems very afraid. Oh, there is another dog. I wonder if he is dead. Where? Right there. There is another dog right next to the one sitting down. He is not moving. I wonder. I wonder if he is alright. The dog is protecting him. Yes. He is protecting the dog. That is why he did not want us to approach them. He was trying to keep us at bay. I can't watch this. This is a very difficult to watch. Oh. Look. He is moving. He is alive. I am so happy to see that he is alive. Yes! Yes! He is alive. He looks to be weakened. We need to them to be rescued soon. We really want them rescued soon. Oh good. He's getting up. It is amazing how they survived the tremendous earthquake and tsunami. It's just amazing that they survived through this all. This second video is a clip from a 2007 movie entitled "A Tale of Mari and the Three Puppies" which was inspired by a true story from the 2004 earthquake in Niigata, Japan. Prepare to wipe your tears. (In relation to Japan's nuclear power plant explosion and fear of radioactive leak)
Radiation exposure can do harm and permanent damages to the human body: 1. A single dose of 1,000 milli-sieverts, or radiation units, affects the intestinal tract causing nausea and vomiting. 2. At higher levels, radioactive iodine can destroy parts or all of the thyroid. 3. Intense exposure to radioactive material from 10,000 milli-sieverts per hour would do immediate damage to small blood vessels and probably cause heart failure. 4. Cancer is the biggest long term risk. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO. It's a bit strange how a shop or a business establishment would be named "Good Luck."
But in this case, the customer really needs good luck! Just look at the services offered: Here is a link of another reason why I love Johnny Depp so much. He did Rango in a way no other actor would.

But instead of standing still and waste my time choosing, what if I just make my own path? This is my journey anyway. ...without the sword and boots, but standing tall and brave. He seems on the lookout for something. See how concentrated he was. |
