Consisting of 11 chapters and 154 pages, this is no ordinary parody as it satirically targets the characters and the idea or concept of Twilight itself. For me, it is an exaggeration of the actual happenings and settings from the original story. If you really know how it goes, you'll be able to relate to this "book-that-made-fun-of-Twilight".
By "made fun," I mean Nightlight is definitely written to tickle the funny bones of readers. As they say, reading this is one hell of a laugh trip. There are so many moments of laughing out really loud while reading this. But as expected from a spoof, there are few parts that are somehow corny.
Also, the good thing about this Twilight parody is the presence of sarcastic quotable quotes scattered within the book. And the best thing about this book is the moral lesson at the end of the story. It is unbelievable how a satire can be so witty enough to build up a hidden lesson all the while.
Overall, Nightlight is a super fun book to read. If you want to smile and laugh all by yourself in your own sacred space, then I highly recommend this book. It's a great way to destress from all the negative vibes around us. It is something that Twilight Saga fanatics should add to their collection as well.
Certainly a must-have for your bookshelves.
