A feeling of well-being or great elation.
Example:
The whole city was swept up in the euphoria of a Super Bowl victory.
Euphoria describes a temporary, almost overpowering feeling of health or elation. In medical use, it normally refers to abnormal or inappropriate feelings, such as might be caused by a drug or by mental illness. But euphoria can also be natural and appropriate. When the home team wins the championship, or when we win enough money in the lottery to buy a fleet of yachts and several small Pacific islands, we have good reason to feel euphoric.
