A friend told me recently that his minister had just gone through open-heart surgery. Two of his three main arteries were 90 percent blocked.
When the man learned that he needed to have this surgery, he was very surprised. He said, "On the outside, I looked perfectly healthy. I hadn't noticed any problems." He appeared fine on the outside, but on the inside, he had a serious problem.
Spiritually, our problem in on the inside as well. We're self-destructing from a spiritual sickness called sin.
That's why Jesus Christ, God's Son, died on the cross to pay for our sins. We need to have an open-heart surgery from the great Physician to take care of the sin problem in our lives. Then He will fill our hearts with joy and the hope of eternal life!

1 Peter 3:18 says...
"For Christ also suffered once for our sins, the just for the
unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to
death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit."
