For BPI, it is a great promotional scheme. Their service is for a one-year free car insurance with acts of nature coverage. Using the "Chris Lao incident" (the car getting submerged in flood) is by far the best way to send their message across.
For Christopher Lao, his "stupidity" resulted to something positive in terms of his budding commercial modelling career and more TV exposure. Not to mention higher income!
