The first part of a prayer is Adoration. It is in this portion where we express our praises to God. We glorify the Lord and show our respect to the heavens above.
The second part is Contrition or Confession. Here, we confess our sins and ask for forgiveness. We say sorry for our faults.
The third part of a prayer is Thanksgiving. In this level, we give thanks to the Lord for all the blessings we receive. We express our gratefulness for everything in our life.
The fourth part is Supplication. This is the time when we ask God for all the things we need. We humbly request for our prayer intentions.
And the last part of a prayer is entrusting to the Lord our entire life. We ask for God's will and his plan for us. Here, we lift ourselves to God and accept everything that He gives us.
After praying, God would answer us in either of these three: YES, NO, and NOT YET.
Yes... if we deserve what we asked for.
No... if what we asked for is not the best for us. (God knows best)
Not yet... if it's not the right time yet to receive the things we asked for.
Let us keep in mind that prayers are not just simply enumerating things to God. We should understand that His answers are not always YES and ON-THE-SPOT.
