Let’s say, you haven’t seen your friend for the longest time. Due to busy schedules, you don’t have regular means of communication. You even have the tendency to forget your friend’s face. Then suddenly, out of the blue, your friend pops out of nowhere just to tell you that he or she misses you. You begin to reminisce and look back at the moments you were together. And you realize how you really miss that person too…
But if there is someone you miss, does that person miss you too?
That is the big question. Having no idea if “the person misses you as much as you miss him or her” gives room for doubt. To get out of this sticky situation, every kind of our relationship to other people (family, friends, loved ones) should maintain any type of communication (call, text, email, chat, snail mail, social network) at all times. It prevents us from doubting the person we miss. By always keeping in touch with the important people in our lives, we can openly express or lessen our feelings of “MISS-ery” towards each other.
