It was a rainy morning yesterday and I'm peacefully seated behind the wheels on my way to work. Suddenly, a so-called "patok" jeepney slammed on my right side. It felt something like a bumpcar ride -- only it was real and much painful.
The passenger seat was a total wreck. My car was pushed to the opposite lane due to the impact. Good thing there was no head-on collision that happened.
There was a moment of silence. I was out of my mind for a few seconds. Then I looked at my right side and saw shattered glass everywhere, the passenger door was deformed towards me. I came back to reality and my lips automatically called for God.
I started shaking and tears fell. People outside were checking on me. They asked if I was ok and it was then when I checked myself for any injury.
There was none. Not even a tiny scratch.
It was a miracle. Nothing more, nothing less.
Aside from the seatbelt, it was my faith and the prayers of those who love me that saved me.
God is good. God is great. God loves us -- you just gotta have faith in him.
I'm thankful for my second life. And I'm gonna spend it by spreading God's love.
